Aether Apothecary stands at the forefront of bioceutical innovation in South Africa, offering a selection of rare, indigenous botanicals and medicinal mushrooms to local and international markets. Founded in 2017 by Cullen and Ricky-Anne, Aether was born from a desire to share the knowledge and healing power of therapeutic herbs and medicinal mushrooms throughout South Africa. Inspired by the rich pharmacopoeia of botanical and fungal medicines native to South Africa, Aether began its journey making basic extracts from the kitchen of its pioneers, trading small batches at various markets around Cape Town. From these humble beginnings, Aether is now based on an Eastern Cape farm with its beautiful laboratory powered by local communities from Nyara, Soto and Haga Haga villages. Aether also partners with doctors and holistic practitioners to provide thoughtfully and scientifically crafted medicine to patients. Every step we take is rooted in service: to the land, the people, and the healing path we walk.
