Sugar coating these would have been better and to sugar-coat the situation: they smelt nice at least. But in all honesty, these are for a very specific pallete (clearly not mine) as to me, they were pretty revolting. If you remove the rind (which seems odd based on the size of the pieces), they taste better, but really it was like eating unpleasant potpourri. I enjoy grapefruit and fresh lemon daily, but this was not sour in a pleasant way.
Can't get enough of these, I just ordered a bunch more. They are a super tasty snack with the sweet tangy naartjie flesh and the slightly bitter skin. They go so well in GnT too!
Broke them into smaller pieces and mixed it with other dried fruit to add more value and benefit. I Iike this! Can't find something like this in any other store. Thanks FTN
I ordered these for my toddler, but it’s just too dry. I can also not get myself to snack on these - would rather order dried mango or pear in future.
Taste can differ every time. The first was delicious second one I bought not the same. Could see the skin was more green and it was bitter. But still nice, it inspired me to make my own so now I know what I'd get every time hehe
