Why we love it

This is a specialised cream formulated for the natural treatment of Solar Keratoses (skin cancer). It is also helpful in the treatment of Psoriasis, Eczema and other skin irritations. The African Sausage Tree has been used for centuries by our indigenous peoples for healing purposes and is derived from the fruit of the tree. The cream combines this extract with Lavender - a natural antibiotic renowned for its healing properties on the skin, and with Carrot to regenerate and heal damaged skin cells. The sausage tree is also known as Kigelia Africana.

Description

Top Tip: Kigelia Africana (sausage tree) also relieves pain and encourages the natural healing process for burns (including sunburn), fever blisters and pimples!

Did You Know?
Kigelia africana is a tree found in most of sub-Saharan Africa. The roots, bark and fruits of the tree have been used by African people for reviving the skin in general, to firm the breast, as a dressing for wounds and as a treatment of stomach ulcers. More recently research done by scientists has shown it is very effective as a healing agent for diseases such as psoriasis, eczema and skin ailments in general. The fruit extracts not only contain individual compounds which are well known for their medicinal qualities, but the blend of these components exhibit a remarkable blend to slow the growth of 'fast dividing' cells, as well as to provide an antibacterial against various micro-organisms.

This cream has quite an earthy smell - it just somehow seems healthy when you put it on. I'd heard it was good for possibly troublesome moles and dark sunspots, so that's what I've been using it for. Only been a month or so, so probably too early to tell, but it certainly is soothing.
Bought this for my Mom who has really bad skin cancer. She says it is helping her sores but not curing them. We will buy it again as it is the only cream we have tried that seems to make a positive change to her condition.
I really like the texture and fragrance of this cream. Bought to assist in controlling areas of skin cancer , so use it sparingly only where they are. Hoping it will help, but still early days.
brilliant cream - but far too thick for a tube! The tub was far better - you could get all the product out. The tube is very wasteful - too much cream comes out and 2/3 used need to cut the tube to get the remaining product out. Why did VG mess with a good container? The product itself is very good, although it took VC a while to wake up to its effectiveness for exzema and skin irritations.
I use this cream every day as a face cream and my skin loves it. Make-up blends beautifully on top of this cream. The picture is not a true of reflection of what the product looks like, it comes in a plastic tube rather than a tub, but the quantity is the same.
