The Gizzls story begins with Gizzy, a rescue part Maine Coon, part pavement special, who is a big bundle of adorable fluff, but all of a sudden he lost a lot of weight and stopped grooming himself. Rushing him to the vet, he was diagnosed with a serious UTI (urinary tract infection) and further tests revealed he has serious kidney problems. There was talk of keeping him comfortable for his life expectancy of about 6 months. The vet immediately started him on chronic medication, but after two weeks there was no change, he was still listless, hiding in the cupboard and not interested in eating. After giving him CBD, within a week he was eating a lot more, his eyes were brighter and he was grooming himself again. Fast forward three months and he’d put on 2kgs of weight. Gizzls are now producing delectable natural treats that help the overall immune system of cats and dogs.
