Why we love it

Perfect for children or adults who prefer a smaller toothbrush head. Designed by an Australian dentist this 100% biodegradable toothbrush is made from bamboo for a better environmental option. With a handle made from sustainable material that is 100% biodegradable you'll be making a change that gives back to the earth.

Description

The handle
The handle is made of MOS bamboo, an environmentally sustainable timber. Bamboo is technically considered a member of the grass family that is not only incredibly abundant but is the fastest growing plant on earth too. The bamboo is cultivated between three to five years, and then harvested. It re-generates itself naturally, with minimal rain and without the need for harmful pesticides. In fact, by harvesting and using the bamboo, we help to control unwanted spread into agricultural and natural forest areas. The bamboo is grown by many local farmers (NOT PLANTATION).

The bamboo is heat treated to carbonise the surface of the bamboo, giving it a quality finish and good service life. The carbonisation finishing process provides water resistance and prevents the growth of microbes (bacteria and moulds) during normal use.

The bristles
The bristles are made from a BPA FREE polymer resistant to microbial growth during normal use, to ensure safety and durability.

Disposing of your toothbrush
For best results, most dentist's recommend you replace your toothbrush either monthly or at least every quarter some even say use it until it stops.

To answer the main question, HOW LONG DOES IT LAST? - We test drove a toothbrush for over 8 months so yes they last (not that we suggest you do that).

The Environmental Toothbrush handle can be disposed of safely by returning it to earth in compost or landfill. The bamboo handle will biodegrade into soil without pollution, we suggest that you remove the bristles so as to safely and properly allow the bamboo handle to biodegrade.

The panda
China’s Giant Panda consumes the soft bamboo shoots, stems and leaves as its main food source. The Environmental Toothbrush honours this environmental mascot in the logo. Because bamboo is so abundant, sustainable and renewable our use does not impact on the food source of the Giant Panda in fact they do not like the MOSO bamboo.

My children seem to like this toothbrush, although they chew the bristles and it ends up being very splayed very quickly! Love that it is biodegradable.
We are really enjoying the eco-toothbrushes. We've had to write our names on them because there is no way of telling them apart, other than size, but they are comfortable to brush with and quite smart-looking too!
I love the concept of a bamboo toothbrush, and psyched my 5 year old to use it too. The head however is way too large for her to effectively clean her teeth. I am now having to alternate her using her old plastic one, and the bamboo one, just to make sure she does a good job. Please consider making a smaller head on these. She absolutely loves her brush though, and has even personalized it by drawing on the handle
Love that these are completely biodegradable, and the quality is great. However I find the bristles still a little hard. Saying that I am sure they will soften with time and I will be buying again
I love the concept and the bristles are just the right texture. The only reason it's not a 5 star review is that the bamboo has a weird taste and quality where it sticks to the inside of your mouth a bit. Takes some getting used to.
