Pukka Revitalise Kapha Tea

This is an energising and warming blend of cinnamon, cardamon and ginger to get you going. Kapha is prone to feeling sluggish and having mucus problems. These spices reduce mucus and will invigorate the body and mind!Perfect for kick starting the system and balancing kapha types.

Cinnamon
This fragrant bark warms digestion and increases circulation. It is very good for clearing mucus from the chest.

Cardamom
This aromatic and warming seed pod clear mucus from the stomach and lungs- delicious!

Elderflower
These summer flowers are known to help breathing by relaxing the airways in the lungs and by clearing mucus.

Orange peel
The rind of the orange balances the properties of the fruit; it helps to clear mucus and to balance digestion.

Licorice
A little bit of licorice is good for kapha as it helps to expectorate phlegm from the chest.

Ginger
This spicy wonder root is great for balancing kapha as it helps to stimulate any sluggishness and is an excellent digestive.

Green tea
Green tea contains very small amounts of caffeine that can help stimulate the system. It is also mildly bitter and this is good to help promote anti-kapha qualities.

Clove
Powerfully aromatic these buds get the whole system going. As they are so expansive they lift the body upwards and open up any blockages.

Spearmint
Slightly warming to digestion it helps to clear any sluggishness.

Black Pepper
A minute bit of black pepper is added to stimulate digestion and keep that fire burning!

Kapha
The kapha dosha is a combination of the prithvi (earth) and jala (water) elements. As the water element it is contained within the earthen structures of the tissues and skin, the dry earth is moistened by the reviving water element. It is slow, heavy, cool, dense, soft, greasy, unctuous, sticky, cloudy, liquid and sweet.

Kapha literally holds the body together. It is cohesive, gives shape and form, aids growth and development, lubricates and protects, helps smelling and tasting. It relates to phlegm in the body. It resides in the chest, throat, head, pancreas, stomach, lymph, fat, nose and tongue. Its primary site is the stomach.

Kapha accumulations cause excessive build up of mucus, phlegm, sluggishness, excess weight, lack of energy.
