Zinc Sulfate is one form recommended by Nutrition Science Phd Chris Masterjohn. He also notes our body may only absorb 7mg every 5 hours. If Renu's capsule might bedivided in quarters with a micro scale then this dose may work well.
In retail pharmacies this form is hard to come by because most brands seem to use Zinc picolinate(which cause zinc loss in the animal models) or do not indicate the form included. Clicks' budget supplement range (thumb size bottles) sells this Sulfate form also(under R40 for 30 tabs of 20mg each). I'm glad we have one more brand with an effective form, but there might be more affordable options.
Please note that this product is not vegan (and I doubt it’s vegetarian either). I had to contact Naturmade who confirmed this after receiving the delivery.
Difficult to say how effective it is - one of those things that works silently so you feel and function well. Good to have it in capsule form, I believe it digests better than tablets.
