Why we love it
Aerophytes are plants that live and derive nutrients and water from the air around them - they don’t need soil at all. These Microgardens feature wooden boards with an aerophyte, Melanocrater, embedded in a hole in the centre. Simple to mount on the wall and simple to look after, they are the perfect addition to your home or office.
Description
- The Tillandsia Melanocrater is a unique species that occurs in various colours
- The pointed leaves of this plant can differ from yellow-green to red
- Like all other types of Tillandsia, the Melanocrater descends from the Bromeliad plant family
- The Tillandsia Melanocrater is native to Central America and Mexico
- This species grows a flower from the heart of the plant, which can become a beautiful red, pink or purplish colour
- They will give you wonderful blooms 2 to 3 times per year

- Microgarden can be placed on a counter, desk or mantelpiece, or mounted to the wall
- Microgardens require fresh air circulation and should be misted with water occasionally

I've always wanted an air plant and this is so beautifully mounted in the block, making it so easy to hang. It looks awesome and I often find myself staring at it. My favourite gift to myself in a while <3
Beautiful gift. Although price is high as these air plants grow like crazy in my garden. The idea is very clever if you don't have time to make it yourself.
I bought 2 other air plants that survived the courier trip but this one died. Maybe best purchasing this one at a shop that stocks them
Bought two of these, both plants were dead when I had received them and the whole product was just not neat and to my liking.. BUT received wonderful customer service so definitely made up for it!
This plant is stunning and to be mounted on wood just looks awesome. I will be buying more of these plants soon.
