A note from our supplier: Pentylene Glycol has a zero listed hazard rating in Cosmetic Data Base and there are 23 published articles which provide interesting data and note studies done back in the 1970’s – in all of these, there was only one case listed of Dermatitis in Belgium and two cases in Cleveland, Ohio, in which the use of a topical cream containing Pentylene Glycol was suspected (not determined) to be the cause of the Dermatitis. www.ewg.org (Skin Deep Data Base) rates Pentylene Glycol as zero hazard. On www.goodguide.com it is listed as having no health concerns and is not on their list of hazardous ingredients. We use Pentylene Glycol only in our creams and lotions, which contain a higher water content and therefore need a proven strong preservative, and we consider it to be the safest and healthiest preservative currently available in the absence of a reliable natural preservative.

AMAZING smell. I tried to switch over to all natural cleansers, and identified the Victorian range as a good one. I have oily, acne prone skin (genetic, not hormonal) and ultimately this product proved too oily for me. I was really sad to stop using it and will definitely try again in the future, once my skin has settled a bit.

Ive always had a problem with oily skin when ive gone off the pill. For the past couple of months my skin has been greasy and ive been having constant breakouts. I was using a harsh foaming cleanser recommended to me by my derm, but I recently went vegan and got rid of all the products I used that were full of toxins and chemicals. This stuff has changed my skin. Its no longer greasy, just normal and smooth. No breakouts, just the occasional active, which is totally manageable. I absolutely recommend it!

It took a while getting used to as I only used gel cleansers in the past. It doesn't remove makeup well but it's an awesome cleanser and doesn't dry out your skin! I love it.

I have been using this for several years now and it really works for oily skin. I have tried other face washes when mine was finished, but i can feel the difference immediately. A combination of the face toner, wash and day cream works!

I find this cleanser much more effective than the other cream cleansers in removing make up. I LOVE the smell (the lemon is so refreshing but not stripping). Highly recommended for combination skin erring on the side of dry.
