I am quite certain that this is cassia and not ceylon, which is what I am specifically looking for since the cassia is dangerous for regular consumption. Not impressed.
I was very disappointed. It barely smelled like cinnamon at all and didn't add any flavour at all. I would not buy again.
I'm trying to cut down on sugar and coffee. Love having a few stick in plain hot water! The fragrance is heavenly!
I wish I had read the reviews before ordering this product. There is not a single intact cinnamon stick, it’s just broken bits. Also there’s 2 different types of bark suggesting they mix cassia bark in with this so called premium Ceylon cinnamon. It looks like the sweepings off the floor. Utterly shameful that a company packages this rubbish for sale. Do NOT buy this and also it makes me question the other spices I bought from this company.
After googling how to tell the difference between cassia & Ceylon, it seems that this is cassia cinnamon :( I have the sticks and the powder from this brand - I compared the powder as well to another Ceylon brand I have and this brand here is darker/redder than the other brand, so I believe "A little something organic" is selling cassia, which is disturbing if you can't trust the labels... mind you i'm not an expert but as far as I can tell from what I've read about the appearance of the different cinnamons, I don't believe this brand to be telling the truth.
