




The Flapjack Premix from Health Connection is the quickest and easiest way to whip up some homemade vegan crumpets. The premix makes 30 crumpets each with a whopping ~5 grams of plant based protein. Sweetened with xylitol and no added sugar, they’re also suitable for diabetics. A sweet treat for breakfast or a comforting dessert without the calories!
Vegan Flapjacks Recipe:
You will need 50 g of Flapjack Premix
1 large, ripe bananas
50 ml of your favourite milk alternative
¼ cup of melted coconut butter
½ teaspoon of vanilla essence
Blend/mash the banana until smooth
Mix milk alternative, vanilla essence, and melted coconut butter together
Slowly add the Flapjack Premix powder, and fold gently until well combined
The consistency should be like that of thick pouring cream. If too thick, add more milk alternative
Heat frying pan and coat with your choice of vegetable oil (coconut oil works well)
Add 1 tablespoon of batter, and flatten with the back of a spoon
Flip once bubbles start to appear, and cook til golden on both sides
