Note that the outer ceramic portion of the filter cartridge requires regular manual cleaning (with a brush, scourer or sandpaper) to ensure optimum water flow.
A Pre-sediment filter can be incorporated with the purifier to filter out larger suspended particles (down to 0.5 micron) and prevent the ceramic cartridge from clogging up quickly and therefore prolonging the period before cleaning is required.
