I am always worried about using plastic bin bags and was attracted to the bio compostable part of this product. Easily the nicest bin bags I have used so far.
It is good to be using something that is less harmful to the environment than plastic, but you need to realise that they need an industrial composter to fully compost - still it is better than plastic! I have noticed that they are susceptible to acidic foods (e.g. oranges) so don't leave these in for too long.
I was very hopeful when ordering these larger bags, we've used the small-sized doggy-doo bags for a while and were happy with those.
Sadly, these larger bags are just too flimsy, they don't hold liquids well and by the time the weekly bin clean out and bag replacement happens we end up having to double-bag the rubbish as the bag has leaked and torn and just hasn't lasted.
I can only assume that non biodegradable bags are laden with chemicals because since I’ve been using these bags my bin is a haven for ants. Have had to spray the inside of the bag with clean green. Not sure if that’s good?
