Description
  • All-natural solid conditioner bar
  • No bottle; no plastic waste
  • SLS-free, paraben-free
  • Nourishes & softens the hair
  • Also ideal as a shaving bar or in-shower lotion bar
  • Ethically sourced ingredients
  • Safe for waterways
  • No artificial colours or fragrances
  • Fresh peppermint & orange oil fragrance
  • Enriched with beeswax, shea butter & vitamin E

Ingredient Highlight:

  • Wild Harvested Shea Butter is a great source of moisture for dry or damaged hair providing hydration, strength and softness.
  • Organic Coconut Oil contains lauric acid, which is supportive of hormone and cellular health. This beneficial property of coconut oil is one of the reasons it could help prevent protein loss in hair. Coconut oil also acts as a natural sunscreen.
  • Local Organic Olive Oil adds softness and strength to hair by penetrating the hair shaft and preserving moisture. It detangles hair and minimizes frizz.
  • Cetyl Alcohol is derived from coconuts and acts as a conditioning and moisturizing emulsifier that helps hydrate and nourish your hair.
  • BTMS: a plant-based emulsifying wax with excellent conditioning and detangling properties.

  • Castor Oil has natural antibacterial and antifungal properties and is high in vitamin E, minerals, proteins, and omega-6 and -9 beneficial fatty acids. The antioxidants in castor oil support the keratin in hair and help make hair stronger, smoother, and less frizzy.
  • Vitamin E Oil supports hair growth, prevents breakage and split ends; and boost your hair's elasticity and shine.
  • Rosemary Oil has anti-inflammatory properties which help to keep hair follicles healthy and dandruff at bay. It is said to promote nerve growth, improve circulation, and may stimulate hair growth.
  • Peppermint Oil increases circulation on your scalp and has anti-bacterial properties.
  • Orange Oil is a natural cleanser and contributes to healthy-looking hair and is especially known for uplifting your mood!
  • Henna Alkaner restores the acid-alkaline balance of the scalp without affecting the natural balance of your hair. It is a natural treatment for damaged hair and is said to strengthen thin and flat hair while adding shine and volume.

  • For straight thin hair, apply only to the tips.
  • For thicker curly hair, apply from the roots to the tips.
  • This conditioner can be used as an leave in conditioner if desired
  • It can also be used as in-shower moisturizer or body lotion bar.
  • Have fun with this bar by exploring how it works on your specific hair type.

Why a bar and not a bottle?

  • Most bottled conditioners are made up of mostly water, even as much as 90%. Conditioner bars are package free and concentrated and can be equivalent to 2-3 bottles of conditioner. They are great for travel, excellent space savers and can also be used as a shaving bar or in- shower body lotion bar. Earth Ant encourages sustainable lifestyle change. Ditch the plastic! Be an active consumer and choose body products that are beneficial to your body and the environment. This bar is 100% plastic free, and supports a circular economy, eliminating waste and minimising the continual use of our diminishing resources.

I'm still trying to figure out how to use it. It can easily leave my hair ( dead-straight, thick, Caucasian hair) feeling very greasy. Here is my current process: 1. Make the water very hot to get the soap to melt onto my hands a little. 2. Still using the very hot water rub the soap from my hands into my hair. 3. Still under the very hot water, take a hair brush and brush through my hair until the soap is out of my hair. I would love to hear from the product owners if they have any tips for us :)
freaky sticky hard to apply... but very sparing application is key. First use left my fine straight hair greasy and looking unwashed, However sparing application only to the ends helps to tame the fly away ends. still trying to get the hang of it, at least I am not allergic to it as I am to normal liquid conditioners.
I wanted to give this product a try as my daughter has crazy curly hair that needs buckets of conditioner and im trying to eliminate as much plastic from our lives as possible. The very first time we used it it was like magic, her hair was soft and the knots just glided out. Thereafter we have been struggling to make it work well. I also think that softening it up in hot water makes it work better. I do my daughters hair so i am finding putting it on someone else's hair very challenging. I do think you need to maybe do it in a warm shower so that all the wax can melt and be combed through while in the shower. Hoping to make a better go at it in summer. I do love the smell and the convenience for travelling tho!
At first I used way too much, as it doesn't lather well. Couldn't get it all washed out properly. Then, the next time I used too little. I can't figure out how to use it. I'm considering using it as hand soap. :(
I wish I'd read the reviews properly on here before purchasing. I agree with what most have said: it is very difficult to lather and doesn't feel like it is treating the hair much at all. Not even sure what to do now because it feels terrible as a hand soap/body conditioner (as suggested by the company in the description) too. I have straight, thin air.
